Default TM-2300 H-H motor prob.

My TM-2300 motor, although advertised as H-H, only goes to 55 degrees either way. I dismantled it, and set the screws at around 75 degrees, but it still only goes to 55. Anyway I can get it to pan a wider angle, or is it down to my receiver?

Ensure that you have no software limits set. Also try moving the dish further with Diseqc1.2, USALS has a limit, though I can't remember what it is.

Do you actually have LOS, past 55 degrees then?

Also try moving the motor manually with the button on it, that will tell you if it's reciever or motor causing the issue.

The screws were originally set at about 54°. I reckon the dish actually reaches around 52-53°. Somewhere just short of intelsat 805 at 55.5°W, which I have a clear view at. But even using the button, setting the screws at 75° appears to make no difference. The dish still stops short of 55°. Despite the manual saying that moving the screws would do the job.

Btw. I'm using Diseqc1.2 from a TM6900 HD Combo Super+, and I reckon I have Westward CLOS to around 65ish degrees. Eastward, I just about scrape in Turksat, due to the damned house being in the way........er........so I stuck another dish out the front......mental eh?

Have you pushed the slides around as far as they will go ? or just levelled up the screws with 75 degrees ?

The instructions say to loosen the screws making sure you don't undo them completely. So I guess when I move the screws to 75 degrees, the slides inside are moved with them.

Yes, the slides move with the screws, but I don't think the the slides are level with the screws, try moving the screws around as fas as they will go.

I have a spare/used one of these motors that I have had apart, I'll have another look inside of it later on, to see what the screws actually do inside the motor.

The screws are at their extreme limit. I'll try using USAL's instead of Diseqc, but I aint optimistic.
