by not cancelling the contractyou have thereby "signed" or agreed to its terms. alot of the time they will do this you basically have to sign OUT of the contract if wanted, and that has to be done within the first 5 working days technically, but they allow 28 days.

You will likely have to pay the early disconnection fee. If its for purposes of changing provider, just contact them to try and resolve your problem, the cable network in alot of places has the best infrastructure and network. If its for moving purposes just cut all ties and abscond and dont sign up with your name with them again lol, at least not the same bank acct

They seem to drop the price faster than an Essex girl drops her drawers tho is tell them you're considering leaving so would think that is first try!

There are very large chunks of the country without cable or even ADSL offerings so a little strange for you to say that !

Very true, there is no cable service in the centre of Edinburgh which is a pretty big city. Permission was not granted to dig up the old town of Edinburgh due to the historical aspect (cobbled streets etc). My father was planning to move to the city centre and decided not to as he would not be able to get a cable connection.

Sorry. Yes I agree with that statement but those large areas are likely to be remote and largely unpopulated and unlikely to be a place to which anyone would move.
