What exactly does the 3.7 update do/tackle? my area switched to 3.7, but my box (non subbed one) still works fine. had to re-scan due to frequency change though..is that all it was?

3.7 update is getting ready for change over to N3, only boxes with Fun Cards or ATMega cards are affected, as soon as cards are posted out to customers your box will be off.

Put simply, if you don't pay, you cant play, no subscription then no TV, simple as.

thanks guys..last post was a bit obvious for when n3 is rolled out. its just the 3.7 update that confused me..answered so thread closed.

some folks (me and rest of Scotland) got 3.7 which is VM firmware update to legit boxes.........we had to factory reset/power scan. Then 6 days later they did NGTV to us so another reset/power scan. We if Fife still ain't received notification of new cards coming far less the cards sent out. So I'm at least 3 weeks away from N3 and maybe mire!

time will tell..no set dates or timescale from when 3.7 update has hit.

Very true - but I've worked in companies where rollouts take far longer than planned - still believe I'll be watching SS1 in April or beyond
