Yeah i don't know anything mate. Was simply saying keep the PICs for the tut not for troubleshooting. The thread becomes unreadable. I won't troubleshoot for people that won't help themselves.

By the way topcat1, your help on this was invalueable. P1ss off.

@ manuelcard

Untick TFTP enforce bypass, and force network access..neither do anything useful.

Then post your problem in a new thread. This was a guide thread.

When you post add:
What actually happens when you connect? Describe what happens with words not pictures.

Let us know what the beginning of the MAC address you're using is, and any errors you get in the event log.

I've just had my hands on a subbed Ambit 2055, the first four digit's of the MAC address were 00:02.
The modem is on a DOCSIS 1.0, 10Mb business connection.
Does anybody know the stealth settings for this modem?

This so called tit you are talking about happens to be one of the few people on this forum that is actually pretty clued up on how the network works rather than the likes of you who just want free internet! maybe you should reconsider how you talk to the people who could potentially help you!

Hey calm down calm down!

Just a quickie(ish)...Regarding stealth settings...My research suggests, across this and other forums, that the Vendor should be "Ambit Cable Modem", and not just "AMBIT"

If my assumptions are correct, during a sweep, AMBIT would stick out like a sore thumb.

Does anyone DEFINATELY know the answer? I do know that two modems near to my area were cloned, both with different d1.0 macs, one with correct stealth and one not stealthed at all (just the hax/moto SB stealth settings) and the latter went down, while the correctly stealthed one stayed live. Now if this was due to the sub cancelling is unknown...It prob was. But they were both Ambit macs!
