If my assumptions are correct, during a sweep, AMBIT would stick out like a sore thumb.

Does anyone DEFINATELY know the answer? I do know that two modems near to my area were cloned, both with different d1.0 macs, one with correct stealth and one not stealthed at all (just the hax/moto SB stealth settings) and the latter went down, while the correctly stealthed one stayed live. Now if this was due to the sub cancelling is unknown...It prob was. But they were both Ambit macs!
AMBIT is the correct value

Stealth doesn't actually matter if 'disable SNMP agent...' is ticked as the modem only gets queried for Vendor etc after it's registered.

Modem status is fine, MAC is bad. If it does this with all your MACs, they're all bad.

how do i get my ambit 250 to aquire those above statuses? all i am getting everytime i reboot the modem is just:
Acquire Downstream Channel Done
Obtain Upstream Parameters Done
Upstream Ranging Done
Establish IP Connectivity Ranging
and all the others are waiting..

here is what hyperterminal says of the booting process my modem gets stuck on.

timerduration secs = 1
currecnt time secs = 34071

and then it just loops over and over again.

Read sr20's post above yours ^^, your MACs are most likely bad. It's all about pot luck now with MACs mate, I normally have to try about 5 or 6 before I get my modems up and running now.

As long as you have the 'disable snmp agent..' tickbox ticked, the rest of the stealth page doesn't matter now.
