Hi, my eurovox v remote has stopped working, batteries are fine, I've checked the signal output from the remote, by looking through a camera and the infra red signal is flashing, so remote seems ok. The eurovox has a green led permantly displayed next to the channels. The channels can be accessed through the manual controls on the front of the box ok, so box seems ok, bu still no comuncation with the remote. Anyone any idea what the problem is?

the green light is the lock light which tells you it is locked onto a channel and should be lit.
the problem could be with the sensor on the box |

I would reckon it could be changed but first you could check it hasn't anything obviously wrong like bad or broken connection etc.
its not something I'm familiar with apart from knowing its there EDIT : although the remote appears to be working it still could be the problem, if you can try it on another box or see if you can borrow another one to try Last edited by smoggy; 06-03-10 at 02:58 PM. |

i tried remote on another box and it didnt work, assume they're matched ? I bought another remote off ebay and that doesnt appear to work at all, (no infra red signal from remote at all under a camera) I've just stripped the box down, the sensor appears physically ok, its just a 3 legged component.

I've just opened up the eurovox, the sensor is a 3 legged component, physicallylooks ok, I've tried the remote on a friends box, but it didnt work, i assumed they were matched to the boxes? I even bought a new remote off ebay, but that doesn'et emit a infra red light (checked by looking under a camera)
