is there a way to get sly installed without having a phone?

im really just after cards as i have boxes?

For a single box you can just get a plain old subscription, Card only, no subsidised box so no need to connect to phoneline.

If you want multiroom (multiple cards on same sub) then there is no way around having all boxes permanently connected to phoneline. Thats how Sky check the boxes are where they are supposed to be.

I have just had sky HD fitted and have no landline but had to pay a £25 manual install fee

If you just want a card then ring sky up and ask for a "second hand box contract"

If you dont want a phone line then you can pay a £25 no phone line charge UNLESS you want multiroom.

Of course if you only have one box in the house anyone sensible disconnects the phone line as soon as the card has authorised!

They will do it no problem. Did mine that way a few years ago as I only have a voip phone which is unsuitable for Sky's requirements.
