Hi guys moved into a new home recently which already has a sky dish fitted to the front of the house. If i just go and buy a dreambox 500s for example what sort of channels and how many will i be able to pick up?

Hi,

Here is a list of all the channels on 28E

Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2D at 28.2°E - LyngSat

You will be able to pick up all the free ones.

Remember you wont get epg more than now or next with most generic receivers.

If a proper epg is important to you buy a Freesat or second hand sky receiver.

Thanks for the fast reply guys just another quick one then, If i buy a more expensive box like say a 800 HD will i get more channels?

No you will still only get the fta channels

If you are hoping the Linux boxes are an easy way to get free tv you are going to be seriously disappointed.

Ok cheers mate just wanted to see if it was worth my while gettin one but if im not gona get anymore than what i get on my freeview tv al probably just start thinking about the Sky HD deal they doing just now.
