I'll be looking for video editing software for Apple soon - which are the recommended programs to look out for?
I'm already planning to use Emagic Logic for music editing, and think there may be video editing that comes with it as well, but I figure it's not going to be as dedicated as some other useful solutions. Logic used to be available on PC, but apparently is now owned by Apple and will now only be supported on Apple, which is a shame, but help pushes me there. |

Mac OS X comes with iMovie HD 6. It has a lot of new features and although I haven't tried it myself (I don't have a Mac), it seems like a good editing software. Of course there is the highly popular among video editors called Final Cut. Avid FreeDV is a free Mac-compatible software from avid.com.

iMovie is good, and if you want to record from a camera firewired into a mac, then iStopMotion is v. good. Have used both in an iMovie > Quicktime > iStop setup, would reccomend.
