Does the box appear to hang on PL:40? If it does, leave it be a few minutes. I had this issue before and the EM appeared after about 5 minutes.

try doing a force boot so it skips the update and see if it boots on the old software m8 ............. hold the down button while powering on untill you see boot

check net _id and frequency in eng menu.. if it sticks on ld20 > ld30 it could also be weak signal.. try without splitter etc..

If all you get is PL:30 or PL:40 while you try and boot into the EM, leave the box alone for 5 minutes (with the code on the display) and it should boot. I had a 2100c a few weeks back that had the same issue and it finally booted into the EM after waiting a few minutes whilst it showed the code on the display.

I have tried, left the box on for hours, still no luck.

exact same as mine. have tried everything suggested but stuck in a loop where it goes through LP and LD numbers and keeps restarting

just to check if done correctly how does one short the battery?
