Default free on cable

hi, just a point i dont understand, if when sky subscription is terminated, you still get basically freeview channels including itv2 /3 e4 etc..... why when cable subs terminated do you get much less, i thought the free channels would still be operational but obviously not ?? just a thought, regards ardvaark

Because it is Virgin's network, and they can do what they please with it. Not sure why they even leave the basic channels there to be honest.

Sky on the other hand rents space from the satellite operators for the bandwidth they use, as do all the free channel operators, like BBC, POP, JML,Luxe Tv, etc etc etc.

The free channels ARE still operative on a cable line - its just that they are a different set of channels from those free on satellite
