Default Azbox premium+ and G-box issues.

Hi All,

I want to use the above receiver as a slave with my Technomate 6900super+ and a G-box V3000 as the main unit, but the Premium+ is not cooperating and I don't think it is fully compatible with the G-box even when it is used as a standalone receiver...this is because it does not turn the G-box on at startup, or switch it off when put in standby and that is even in diSeqc1.2 mode.

I have used the 6900 super and a number of other receivers as slaves using the 6900's loop through, even a standard Az premium worked, so why the Premium plus is not playing ball is a mystery, I know it is not the recent Az software because I have tried various issues and reinstalled the latest software, although it must be poor Azbox software or just a plain incompatibility with my G-box, maybe another make of G-box would work?

I am think of making my own box using chassis mount male F connectors giving me one input from the LNB, to two outputs to the receivers, one to the G-box which would then go to the 6900, and the other to the premium+, but think I would need some kind of filter on the premium+ output to stop the diseq commands or signals going back to the 6900, I do not have or intend having both receiver's on at the same time.

There could also be a usable solution (box) on the market that I could adapt...so I am hoping for some advice, I have tried connecting to the premium+ first and then the 6900 but that didn't work, I only intend using the premium+ for feeds and 4.2.2 transmissions, and I am reluctant to use it as my main receiver until (if at all) the software issues are sorted.

Any help or comments would be appreciated, kind regards,
James.

Hi m8,diSeqc i dont use,i use 36 volts.loop through is not good when we talk on moving a dish, many have problems when doing this. When a loop is used one box has to be turned off.You might get away with a twin lnb,but iv not tryed with diSeqc.IE one receiver to move dish, other like azbox to watch.DiSeqc methord will take 5 volts from your lnb to move your dish. This is why i use 36 volts as it takes no power from lnb.
