They update their CMTS / DHCP servers with new configs (not modem configs, server configs).

This new set up only seems to allow one instance of any given MAC to exist anywhere on the network.. 2nd modem tries to reg with same MAC and it doesn't get a DHCP offer.

Seems after 8 years of pissing about, they finally paid a decent network engineer. They don't even need a team of people to do this.

Will have to wait some time with more testing to see for sure what's going on with DHCP tho.
