hi guys sorry to hijack thread but im in port talbot and i cant get back online either been tryin for a about a week and half now was running infinite all was working great until my power went off when power came back on modem wouldnt connect tried loads o fdifferant macs but no joy then upgraded to hax and still no joy...
then my sister dissconnected her modem about 2 days later which was ok running on infinite to move the desk and hers wouldnt go back online when she reconnected so think our area might of been hit with something aswell..
also tried sniffing for macs with dhcp for 3 days and nothing not 1 mac so something deffo up here

i would say u need to enable bpi set it to bp docsis 1.0

bpi has come into force a little while back but some people are only noticing now when they unplug there modems or in ur case a power cut.

on infinite bpi was enabled on hax ihave changed bpi to 1.0 am idoing this right or have you got 2 send a command to the modem

hi mate tottally agree with what u av said there mate ppl av been using old docsis and when like u said power cut or switching modem off there docsis as 2 b changed good point

on ur haxo overview page where is it getting stuck and rangeing also wots the size of ur file on ur macs.

its sounds like u need to try some more macs then

just to let you know when you are enabling bpi 1.0 on the haxorware page make sure you have cable feed removed from the modem

You're really missing the point here boys..

When the prob I describe hits, BPI settings don't matter. You will not get an IP, just DHCP FAILED, no offer.

So no reg attempt, no BPI/TEK negotiation, nothing.

i was hoping it was just a blip in ur area sr20 and it was ok now lol.

damm so things are looking fooked for now, are u getting this problem of yours with most firmwares eg. haxo, sigma, 5100mod etc etc
