Hi
I got an V+ box HD SA8300DVB box today and when I plug it in I get a white screen for a few seconds and then it just goes black, the display is showing AP:52. I've tried turning it on whilst holding the left and right channel buttons to get the engineer menu but no joy. I've searched the forum but cant find anything that relates to this problem, can anyone help? Kind Regards Update: I've just tried holding the up and down buttons on the front whilst turning on and after a while it displays "diag" on the front but there's nothing on the tv. Well for starters, AP:52 means the Net ID isn't correct or isn't set. As for not being able to get in the EM, I can't help you on that one mate, sorry.

Thanks blakey, when i tried this the first time the cable feed wasn't plugged in so i'm not sure how it would know the net id was incorrect. I'm sure your right though.
Is it an easy job to change the net id? Cheers |

Well the box wont go past AP:52 if the cable isnt in.
And if the Net ID is infact incorrect , the only way to fix it is replace the chip and either program the blank chip with the details or use an atmega/funcard to set the net id on it. Shark. |

If the correct output (scart, HDMI, RGB etc) isn't selected then you won't get a picture on-screen until you set the correct output.
