Default Anyone from the Oldham area having problems

Hi

Middle of last week i lost all my channels, ive tried the factory default/power scan with no joy, everything i try i get "code being updated" then "bad or no signal". Is it just me or is anyone else getting this, any help appreciated.

you give up pretty easily, probably have problems flogging it as well so I would persevere

what model of box have you got
have you the latest firmware on it
did you scan on the correct symbolrate which is 6952 for your area

Im not an expert at this but here is what i found

The box is an ex5000

The sw version is 1.0 st4 feb 24 2009

h/w ver 2.0t k5 +d

bootstrap voo1

s/w build kuro

I scanned 6952

I havent given up but when all your getting is the same message all the time you tend to get a bit miffed with it. Ive been updating it constantly with differing results, sometimes loads of channels the next hardly any, i get a picture for a couple of seconds then the messages i posted in my first post.

that is the latest firmware for your box
sounds like you may have a signal issue, try scanning directly off the cable feed ie remove any splitters etc also check your connections are made up properly.

also check emmulation and emm capture are enabled Menu/language settings/ok/then enter 1 9 6 8 via the remote.
enter 1 9 6 8 again and press the coloured button to set default key
