Hi
Ive scoured many many forums for an answer to this and followed pretty much all the tut's out there to no avail!
i presently have a ambit200 working fine with a "mega" max speed of 2mb lol and now have a 256 with haxor on and ready to run. In order to get to grips with it all I have followed the instructions on the packet and used my "working" mac to get the 256 fired up.
The problem I am having is that it isnt locking onto anything. All the settings/frequencies are as the 200 but its just not locking on. I have mac's here ready to load as I would really love something faster than 2mb!
Can somebody please please help me!

You type the commands into telnet, obviously.

@doody76, why didn't you just change the MAC on your 200?

why didn't you just change the MAC on your 200?

well...... i dont want to loose the only internet access i have atm....once the 256 is running i plan to haxor the 200! tis a longgggg story but cant get in touch with virgin if i lose the connection!!

just a note with it being a 256 how do i telenet it? i can do it on the 200 and 255 i have with the max232 but is it just the same ut using the ethernet cable??

You can telnet it via ethernet, or you can use your 232 like with the other modems

theres no header in this 256 :S will this mean dusting off my soldering iron!!!

doh just read "you can" i read it as you cant lol doh......ill keep the soldering iron at bay then!!
