Default signal strength

hello every one!

sorrry for another thread!

right im having problem's with my cable line!

right im running two modem's and a tv box!

and my signla has drop't down to -12.5 on my modem :S

so i bourt my self a signal / pre-amp but when i connect it all up my tv box work's fine but non of my modem's will connect!

is it the wire im useing or the screew on f-type connectors or this cheap splitter iv got :$

Yeah you were right about that signal being too low.

For line amp's only very specific ones will work with modems. STB's just require the downstream signal for decoding the channels, but modems require upstream and downstream.

You need an amp which allows pass through / amplification of the upstream / return path.

mate thank you! i thor't it was they amp/splitter i got from ebay lol you nkow what they say you get what you pay for lol onthin! see my modem work's ok if i just plug that in on it's own! but soon as i plug this splitter in nothink at all it'll try an scan ect ect but just wont connect :S some one did say use a konig amp?
