Default something wrong...but what it is?

hi,
i have some problem with my ambit 256,hax39. I already sniffed some macs from my friend's house... i found 16 macs with bootfile. All macs started like this: 00:d0 or 00:02, so I was happy, but.... I tried all of them, and only 1 was good. I mean that one was 416kb ... I was dissapointed, but anyway that was working for 1day20hrs. and after that.... stopped. i checked my modem, and when I plugged the lan onto the modem then i saw (status) scanning..ranging.. everything done . and my status was:"operational" but after just limited connection.

(when I set my modem with a working mac than my modem always reconects once. I dont know if its normal or not)

so i cant use it... the one solution is if I disconnect the coaxial cabel. so it means i cant use that mac address anymore. this is not a first time. I have had some macs with a same problem. Once i found a mac which was 20mb. that mac was working for 2 days and after similar problem happened, but the configuration size changed from 428 to 1172. And i had another mac wich was 2mb. I used more than a week and then same happend 428 to 1172. So I think I killed my all macs. anybody know what did I do wrong?

yeh aint done nothing wrong the macs are simply going over to d1.1

best thing to do for now is get some more macs and when u get online with a good working one then leave it alone and dont unplug ur modem.

Nobody has said that an N3 fix is "not coming" although I doubt myself that it will. As for BPI 1.1, it will probably be sorted but it will take time.

this was happening to me on monday it would come online but if i unplug it or reboot modem then on the haxo overview page, cable modem status was operational, but i kept getting limited conectivty, but the macs still stayed on d.10. even after spoofing nic macs and routers etc

so i put the same mac in another modem and same thing i put it back onto the 1st modem and it came online running 20meg, and it has been working since then.

another thing i tried to get one going was to flash it back with a stock flash different to the stock on the modem and then put haxo back onto it just the flash not a 2mb dump and test and i got online with the same macs that was giving me limited connectivity, i prob did't need to flash it tbh but i was just test stuff out.

@ above no it shud connect more than once even after unplugging it, so virmin are testing stuff out there and enforcing there network defences

If you download and open the config with vultureware, you probably have 32k/32k us/ds?
