Brian is/was trying to overcome technical issues with importing the Satmoz database into TW, last I heard he was awaiting support from Vbulletin.

I'm sure he will let us know when he is ready to do the merger.

I will ensure there's clear warning when the merger is about to happen, as I'll need to take TW offline for about 1-2 hours to make and complete the merger.

The current technical issue has been problematic and I'm not in a rush to try and get things done, for the sake of both communities - last thing we need is a messed-up job. I'd rather ensure everything is done properly, even if that means having to wait a little bit longer than expected - to ensure it's done right.

I'll warn everyone when it's about to happen, though.

I'm also tackling a potential site access problem that we've had for a couple of weeks now - it's left regular members from being unable to access the website, and even one of my main news writers on the front end cannot currently access it.

I've previously been tackling this as a potential IP filtering issue, but I've had them chasing up a potential DNS issue the past few days, and it looks like a minor tweak *may* now resolve that.

The server should be running pretty well most of the time as we're now running on 8GB of RAM - but, if the site access issue is not due to IP filtering, or DNS problems, then we're looking at a potential ISP routing issue which is more serious (though hopefully will not come to that).

As ever, though, keeping options open on how to address everything - we originally moved from the first DDoS protection company tried precisely because their filtering was so brutal.

Maybe thats the problem brian, 8Mb isn't much, I had more than that in my ZX81.

Presumably that should be 8GB.
