maplins caravan sky dish and reciever

please help ive just installed the maplins sky reciever and dish to my boat. ive located satellite at 92% sig 72% quality im only picking up german channels???? not sure if there is more than one sat im on astra?? please help a beginner!! thanks

First of all well done!!! You've done the hardest bit i.e. finding any satellite at all!

Now to the nitty-gritty. You have probably found a satellite we sometimes call Astra 1 which is at 19e; what you want is Astra 2 which is at 28e. So you need to move the dish 9 degrees further east. In practical terms, this means moving the dish by a fraction e.g. about an inch to your left (IF you are standing behind the dish). You might not need to change the tilt (down-up) of the dish --- but sometimes you might need to take it a very small tad down. Finally, you might also need to play a little with (i.e. rotate) the positioning of the LNB --- called 'skew'. In any event, first try moving 9 degrees eastward.
