Default Huge Prime Focus

Spotted this in Bolton while on my travels. In the back yard of a pub.

Good God that must be three metres Rick, what is he after with that, could track the Mariner spacecraft with that, and they are the furthest man made objects out in space.

Voyager 1 is the most distant spacecraft - and its still transmitting data home!

Shes about 10 billion miles from home now and the round trip time for the radio signals is 31 hours!

I would say it's a 2.4 with the extentions to make it a 3m, must be for 7w Horizontals. Looks fairly new as well.

If the dish up by the roof is pointing at 28E then that monster has to be pointing at 7W.

Judging by other dishes about, it is pointing at 7w. It's the only thing on that part of the arc worth getting a dish that big for, especially a pub.

A pub near me in warrington, cheshire has a 3m dish on the back of the premises if i can i get a pic taken and show you all he uses it for 7w showtime hes had to build a big fence around the dish to stop it getting any wind on it and probably stop the sly patrol catching the owner.
