Default printer problem

i'm running windows 7 if my printer hp c4280 is plugged in my pc not boot up untill i unplug it then the pc will boot up any ideas

what happens when you plug the Printer back into the computer once its turned on and booted into windows? Shutdown? If so, check even viewer for the reason it shut down...

Are you plugging it into the front USB Ports? If so, check these ports are not damaged, as this can cause shorts on the motherboard.

its sorted now i did a update for the driver and its working no problems thanks for the help
