Well it's not a Precision Though it is possible that it was spun by them and the mount and feedhorn added my another company, impossible to say.

QP Reflectors, have been Very Helpful, and may be able to supply a feedhorn better suited to the dish and kU band.

Well I have finally got the dish seperated from the mount and into the workshop. I had to take a grinder to the bolts to take the dish of the mount, but I was planning on replacing them anyway.

I've strung the dish and found that it is slightly out of shape, one of the strings is 9mm out from the other 3, though the other 3 are spot on. Will that make that big a differance to the effectivness of the dish ? Also the arms are holding the feedhorn slightly off centre, but that is an easy fix.

I've a couple of Ideas how I will pull the dish back into shape, but If anyone has a tried and tested method i'm all ears.

I'll post up a couple of pics later on.

It could be the feedhorn is off centre to compensate for the mis-shaped dish, but I doubt many would go to that much trouble

Thats what I thought, there is also some denst in the dish, I've poped about half of them out, most of the major ones anyway. The lnb arms do allow some adjustment, so I'll just center it to start with and see what works best.

Had a go this aft, found the good old foot in the middle of the dish and pull did the trick, left the strings on while I did it and adjusted the tension as I went. I've lasered the rim of the dish to make sure it's flat as well. I've beaten the worst of the dents out, found my lead dressing tools really good for the job.

To be honest i haven't really had the time to do anything with it. The dish is waiting for a spray, and it can be put back together.

Sorry for bringing up almost 2-year old tread.
Rick, did you get some progress on your PF dish and how did you solve polarizer's question? Some time ago I got PACE MSS500 receiver with positioner, so it is only question where to get polarizer for LNB.
