PM sent to tiger56, i thought he was 'doing a Wawdsley' lol

If he'd said maybe it's because he's running r32 i'd have got what he was saying...thought he was saying 'there's no problem look!'

Although, it's not cos of r32

localised for sure! just a case of finding which macs from areas in newporet will work in other areas of newport--but its a looooong process and you can never list a mac as 'dead' coz it will work somewhere else in the town usually, even if u hit the activation page in one area it may get u online in another using the same mac---its all gone sssssstttttrange--older macs seem to work more often than newer ones too.

This is how i managed to get online after the Eric update , one all the setting were stealth and BPI sorted , i could only use MAC's from a certain UBR for a steady connection.

Re: Connection Dropping - Help & Support Forum
They're all just plain wrong in that first link and don't understand how the network works.

Second link is to a completely different story on modem faults and signal levels

I posted a PDF on how clone detection actually works.

Ok cool. I apologise for that then same as to tiger56.

The DHCP entry you saw in the log...was it DHCP Error or DHCP Warning?

That's not the same as above mate.

The DHCP problem is DHCP Error - Discover sent, no offer recieved.

What you have there is normal
