I have never done one but this is the info I have gathered from elsewhere

when you have downloaded the upgrade tool its in rar format so you need to extract the loader (called upgrade.exe)

power off the box and connect the null modem Cable to computer
run the file Upgrade.exe
in the port setting it should be COM 1
click the Connect button.
power on the Box
select Maincode
use Browse option at bottom to go to the folder where your flash file is kept.
highlight the file and click Connect, this will flash the box.

av u sorted the prob m8 as i had the same prob and now my box works fine and if i told u wat had happened u wud think i am jokin or takin the p????.my box was playin up as soon as i moved it frm a wooden tv unit to a glass tv unit, yes i am serious, anyway it started to freeze, no pic sound sumtimes, go off itself, then cum bk on but no pic,it really done my head in , anyway bk nto the story, i picked the box up and took a long good look at it, and could not figure out wat it was, so i left it on the floor so i cud get a phillips screwdriver, came bk to the box and it was wrkin fine and trhgat was about 3 weeks ago , and up till now it is fine so i thnk it could of been interferience gods nos but yeah X FILE

Hi Khan thanks for that it didnt work for me but thanks for the info.

Hi Smoggy thank you very much it took me a while but i managed to fix it with your method.(Null modem cable and a reflash)
I really thought id buggered it.
Once again thank you thats twice youve got me out of the s##t.
