Hi my name is Paul and im from Leicestershire.
I own a EX1100 USB Eurovox. I am having trouble turning it on. It has been off all day at the wall plug. I then have been watching it for about 30 mins and the picture kept freezing. So i had to keep switching it off and on using the remote after a while i got peed off and to clear it i thought id reflash it with the firmware i already had on my memory stick(ex1100 sept 25th beta). I now cannot swith it on using the remote. I know theres power going to it because when i switch it on theres a purple light, it then turns red. The remote doesnt turn it on. Could it be the remote? Or have i managed to totally bugger my box? Last edited by hoggy76; 18-03-10 at 08:37 PM. |

It wont switch on for me to do the flash.
I have checked the remote using a mobile phone camera and that works alright. After i did the flash it switched itself off and i have not been able to switch it back on again. |

did you remove the usb stick whilst the box was on (whenever inserting or removing usb stick make sure power is off)
you probably now need to flash the box by the null modem cable method you need the flash file on your PC (the same one you have on your stick) you need to use the loader EX1100USB_UPG_TOOLS.rar to flash the file onto your box. go here http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/25...oad-links.html and copy and paste the eurovox link into your browser and the loader is in the EX1100 Folder for info a steady purple light is a bad flash and a flashing purple light means the psu has gone. |

the camera method is a good guide but it isn't foolproof
also the sensor on the box could be dicky but I think the manual flash method is the way to go |
