Default max v jumping

hi all wondering if anyone could help me

i have a euro max v an over the last couple week the channels have started jumping like there is a bad signal, i have tried to rescan, power scan, deep scan, mess around in tv settings but still no joy.

wierd thing though i turned it off come back the next day and it was fine for about ten minutes the started again.

so is there an overheating problem or an update i need to do.

cheers

last firmware was Nov/Dec 2008 so there is no updates

try remaking all your connections
also if you can, try running it directly off the main feed ie no splitters etc.

check what your signal strength and quality is when on a few channels (whilst on a channel press the remotes info button twice)

hi i was just reading a post left by you for someone else about variable attenuators,
my signal seems to be around 82 - 85 %.
could i possibly need one of these i will rty run straight from the main feed see what happens.
thanks for replying

what would you deem a good signal? mine is stable at 84% but a pal of mine 10 miles away only has a signal of 76%,his sly sports 1 is ***** piccie but sly sports 2 is superb,am i looking at poor connections also??

the optimum appears to be around 78-82% any higher or lower tends to give problems like pixellation freezing etc., if its lower you need a booster and if higher an attenuator.
low signals can obviously be caused by poor connections
having said this there are always exceptions to the rule
