Default Technomate Channel Numbers

Is it possible to edit the channel numbers on my Technomate box with DCC or DBE and change it to Sky EPG?

I have managed to change the channels in order, but the channel numbers are different.

Thanks

What do you mean?

You don't need to edit channel numbers, you simply put the channel into the position that you want, i.e BBC1 into position 1, etc etc.

Unlike the Sky box, there is no need to have the epg full of guff, or pay channels you can't watch without a subscription.

If you really want the FTA channels spread out all over the place, you could of course do a full scan, and place the encrypted channels, into the gaps between the FTA channels, and have a channel order just like the Sky epg if you really wanted, I suppose.

What i'm trying to say is, I have the channels in the order I want, but i want to edit the channels number i.e. change channel 23 to, say 76.

Thanks

Yes, but it still beats my why you want to do that, just move the channel to position 76, then the channel that was channel 23, is now channel 76.

Ahh I get it.

You want the channels to be in non-numerical order. Fraid not, that is just illogical.

I want to edit the channels numbers, because i'm so use to pressing the channel number of a certain channel (according to sky channel numbers) instead of pressing the channel up and down button.

Well, just sticking the channel into the appropriate place will work for you then.

I'm the same (well for the kids actually), for certain channels.
