Default N3 dreambox 500c

can i use N3 card in a DB 500? if so, what image should i use. i know cards are paired to the box. how do i get round this!! one last thing going off topic. there are many DB's in my area being used as doorsteps. it wouldnt be hard for me to get a few of these for free. anything else i can do with them? ie: install some linux on it and run some servers. servers as in apache ect ect. any ideas welcomed

Firstly, you would need to know the pairing rsa code for that card (as well as the boxkey, IRD and CamId). After that, a program like rqcs should handle it well enough.

Of course, getting the pairing code for the card is the hard part. How you get it will really depend on the box type the card is paired to but, tbh, I doubt anyone will tell you much more than that on these forums !
