hi can anyone help!! my mate wants to put a sky box up into his bedroom but he says he needs another feed from the dish to go to the bed room,but can he not just put a 2 way splitter onto the feed coming into the house and put a feed from that into the bedroom.any help would be great ta much

Tell him to get a quad LNB for the dish and run a cable from it to both the bedroom and the original box, simple as that mate.

No - splitters cant be used with satellite dishes as the lnb (the bit at the focal point of the dish) is an active device. There are tones and voltages doing internal switching within it.

Split one feed and it will never work right if you try and use both boxes at once.
