yep its crap
this was my mates event ( not me ) 10 years ago 2 cards where sent to his flat, but he only got 1, someone every friday between 3-330pm was using a machine at tescos to take £100 this went on for 3 weeks, till he got his statement. He called barclays and said about it wasnt him. He can prove this as was at work ( resturant ) they were unhelpfull, trying to make out he gave his pin to someone. funny thing is, tescos and the machine had no CCTV. so their frauld area, sat in a car one friday and watched people going to the cash machine and with a police officer stopped each one to check their card. the person who was doing it, was a POST MAN!

Update: I went to the bank today, just to check on my statement etc... and I saw that today I was reimbursed the money I was scammed out of. Thats a fairly quick turnaround lol. I thought I would be getting a letter though, though maybe not

Good news indeed about the quick result.
There are far too many scumbags out there getting away with stuff like this though. A couple of years ago I was on jury service and a woman (care worker) was in the dock for ripping off a blind 84 year old lady to the tune of £60000, over a period of two years. She got 13 months, meaning that she was out in less than 7. Not bad "wages" and not even hard labour. Turns out she was robbing to pay off her husband's gambling debts. DJ67 |
