Default FTA firmware

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where the legal FTA software is ive had a letter from VM there coming around to my house they have picked up my box. I've phoned them and told them i've got one but its FTA there gona charge me with stealing channels unless i upgrade my package to XL and take more phoneline services i cant afford it but there gonna get the police if i dont take the services.

There sending a tech to check the box on Monday am really scared i've already done what they asked me and upgraded all my services i really could not afford it my kids getting low on food and i had to use his money to buy the new services.

I already have anxiety poblems they told me if i cant afford it to take a loan out with my bank and pay a year up fount to them so am in the process of applying.

God am so scared, i really need he FTA so when the tech comes around i can tell them am just watching freeview....

Thanks for any help guys

Blimey! I would just get rid of it, I would say the less evidence against you the better.

I'm sure the authorities would be really impressed with Virgin media blackmailling you to take extra services.

Not sure about a FTA firmware tho, like I say I would just get rid of it and now deny you had one, you could say it was a sky box and you were confused. Virgin are rubbish when it comes to doing anything properly therefore I doubt they recorded the phone call and even if they had they would probably lose it or assign it to another customer!

Even that wouldn't help much as connecting anything to their network that doesn't have their name on it is against the t&c's (and may infact be illegal, although thats untested).

Why anyone would admit to this is beyond me. Are you really that dopey or, as suggestd above, just wasting time ?

If you are really this thick then get rid of the box and get yourself a freeview digi-box and when the tech comes and says "oh thats just for digital tv not cable" you tell him you're so stupid that you thought that was what they meant.... They're sure to believe you.
