Default 2 questions...

Question number 1!

Is it possible to use Sky multiroom in different houses?

Ie. I have two mates that live within half a mile of me. If (not that I would!) I subscribed to Sky and had multiroom meaning I had 3 boxes, and then took two boxes to each of my said mates' houses, who have a satellie dish but no box, and plugged them in, would they work?

Question number 2!

If the answer to the above question is "yes", how much would you expect to pay for a suitable dish?

Cheers

Q1. Yes, for a week or two, then when Sky get your boxes to call-back and they are all from different phone numbers you'll find your service gets cut off a bit rapid and they adjust your billing to 3 full subs.

Q2. Do you still need an answer to that?

Sky multiroom requires that each receiver has access to the same phone line. If you can arrange that you'd be sorted.
Fitting a dish/receiver at each location ought to be possible (used items, DIY install) for around £25-£30.

The practicalities of it make it a non starter. Do you really want the hassle of transporting the boxes back to one location once a month so the boxes can all call home from the one phone line??

Two houses next door to each other, or otherwise with a possibility of running a phone line between the two would be possible though.

Maybe also, homes within DECT range of each other with the appropriate adapter.

Ask that in the cable section.

They can see which cable your connected to into the UBR. You share that with maybe 20-30 houses only !
