Astra 3B launch coverage 26/3/2010
Astra 3B will be lifting off from Kourou tomorrow evening at around 2200 uk time.
Coverage will be on 19E 11597V 22000 5/6 or via the Arianespace webstream:
Arianespace - VideoCorner > Livestream video coverage
If you havent seen an Ariane 5 liftoff its well worth watching at least the liftoff and first 5 minutes or so - its a wonderful sight
If its a clear evening we get to see the boosters flame out and drop off thanks to the brilliant tracking cameras they have nowadays.
Coverage will continue until the twin payloads are deployed into transfer orbit after 40-50 minutes or so. Then the two new birds are on their own

If you do watch it for the first timebe aware the rocket wont lift off at zero!
The main liquid engine fires at zero, but has to complete a few check tests. The two boosters fire at T +7 seconds - and only then will it lift off
(Once the boosters light up it HAS to lift off!)__________________

No you wont - the launch has been postponed for a few days due to a problem with the launcher system
