Question Starview Box, Absolute Newbie Needs Help

Hey all,

Well I decided to dig up my old Starview box which I used to use a few years ago. Now, under the System Info bit of it, it says ver 4 and a few other random numbers after that.

Now, it does not have a USB port at the back. I've found some keys which using the chatterbox and BigMAQ toolbar I've got what seems to be the latest keys. I've done a factory restore, scanned the channels and inputted the keys after storing them. I know that they've been stored due to the fact that I can access them again later. EMU is ON. I'm able to get the usual freeview channels with this, however the others just don't seem to work.

My service provider is correctly set and keys inputted. Is this box still of use to me or is it one to go into the big due to the fact that it has no USB port at the back of it?

Cheers, Obama

Even if you get it working it will only be for a few weeks maximum as VM are rolling out a new super secure encryption that will render ALL third party boxes obsolete overnight.

So to be honest you may as well take it up the local recycling centre and sling it in the scrap metal bin.
