DM500S - Eurobird1/Astra2 - not picking up FTA channels

Anyone else got any ideas? Think I'm gonna take it back the shop on Saturday and get them to add it if not!

It seems as though when you start scan, that the dish is moving back to Thor at 1west.
And not scanning Eurobird/Astra, hence no channels.
So check the position of the dish, before and after scan on Astra, to see if this is the case.
Also select a Thor channel after a scan on Astra, if it clears instantly, the dish is in the wrong position.
Now try this do as instructed by the other members, and make your way to the screen where
you can move the dish.

1-Select Eurobird /Astra Transponder 12207/ 27500/ V /on the drop down menu.
2-Now start moving the dish east, with pause every few secs so as to get a lock.
3-Check the SNR and AGC meter for life, a reading of 80 on each should be achievable.
4-Once you have this select store, when done, on the same screen select the search button.
5-Now select the automatic satellite search.
6- A list of satellites appears, scroll to Astra/Eurobird and press ok on the remote.
7-You should now have valid transponder found, select start scan.
All channels should be found if everything went ok.

However it's still not picked up BBC/ITV/E4 etc etc?

Got it now - just had to drive it further east to another lock. Thanks again.

Glad to see you are sorted, all those channels to enjoy now.
Try 26-east now, just a couple of shunts west.
Saudi Sport, 12015/ V/ 27500/ and see how you get on.
