Default problem with pc

Hello,
I am having trouble with my Internet explorer. It is doing some very odd things.Sometimes it will completely close the page i am visiting for no reason or it will be very slow loading pages and when i say slow i mean very very very slow for eg i tried to google something and after 10 minutes of the page trying to load i gave up.I thought that it was perhaps the topic i was searching so i tried putting in random things to see if that made any difference but it didn't.Another problem i had was when i was on a forum and clicked on a link and nothing happened i tried to open a new tab and that wouldn't work either and it would let me access any options that are in my tools menu.i had to restart my computer.Just to let you know i have high speed Internet connection. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me with this problem.

Default Sounds Like a TROJAN

Type Ad-Aware ,download free version and run.
Download NoAdware (one word) download free version.
Run this program, as some will pick up others that others don't (if that makes sense ) .Run the free AVG for anti virus.
Thats my first move.

Hi Aladavlis,
You may have a conflict between two security programmes, delete the others and load A.V.G.a free bee from the site but a good one.It may be a case of trial and error but all the help you need is looking in on this site Happy Xmas to all and remember, the Fender Strat won't cure the blues but picking a tune will make the blues tolerable

You dont say which internet explorer you are using. If itis the latest one,go back to IE 6.and as someone else says download spybot, yahoo antispy, addaware, and firefox.AVG free antivirus works well but only use one antivirus program at a time.Crap cleaner which is free is also good for cleaning up your system.

If clearing out all temp, temporary internet files, cookies, prefetch folder and etc doesn't improve things.. check your connection is receiving data packets reasonably well by right-clicking your connection and selecting status.
If ok then do a system restore to the time before this problem arose.
Then d/load Firefox 2.0 and never open IE again!

Hope this helps..
