Default Fixed Dish & Multi Lnb Setups

Just to give you an idea of what is possible with a fixed dish besides the monoblock 13 east & 19.2 east there are a lot more combinations that will give you a chance to do some experiments,

1/ patch set up,
2 dishes required a 80cm & a 60cm,
80cm aimed @ 13 east, this is the Lnb set up 19.2 east + 13 east + 5 east
60 cm aimed @ 30 west
4 way DiSEqC switch,
TM1000D receiver,
with this set up you can take advantage of all the software available on this site,

2/ is the one I have been trying out this week I have called Freeview+
2 dishes required a 100cm & a 45cm mini dish,
100cm aimed @ 26 east this is the Lnb set up 26 east + 19.2 east + 13 east,
45cm 28.2 east,
4 way DiSEqC switch
any receiver will do as long as it supports DiSEqC A B C D or 1 2 3 4 switches
with this set up you get a lot of unencrypted channels you can also use a TM1000D to take in the other channels as well,

when setting up a multi Lnb system as you stand in front of the dish the sky is reversed on the dish so to your left are the east satellites & to your right are the west satellites.

these are the satellites mentioned above,
28.2 east Astra-2A,2B,2D,Eurobird-1,
26 east Badr 3 & 4,
19.2 east Astra-1E,1F,1G,1H,1KR,2C,
13 east Hotbirds 6,7A & 8,
5 east Sirius 2 & 3,
30 west Hispasat 1C & 1D

with the 100cm set it is possible to add 39 east Hellasat-2 or 42 eastTurksat on the left side of 26 east I may try this at a later date.
Share with the Forum any trials you have done yourself hope this helps improve your knowledge of what it is possible to receive via the fastest growing medium in the Broadcasting World.

Default Fixed Dish & Multi Lnb Setups

my set up supplies 2 receivers so i use twin lnb's.
i have a 45cm dish on 28E and an 80cm on 13E with a 2nd lnb on 19E.
Both dishes feed 2 4-way diseq switches.
Now obviously I have a spare port on the switches so I'm interested in making use of it.
Would I get 7E ok? or alternatively, what would I pull in from 5E with an extra lnb?Decoding encrypted channels shouldnt be a problem

@ smeghead that depends on where you live in the sat footprint of the sats you mention,
i have 15 lnbs on one dish 42.e > 8.w this is diseq 1.1 ( dish is force frontier but on a normal
dish it may be possible , in fact should be possible to get 19,13 & 7/5 east if centered on
13e )
gd

hi m8s,there isnt much hacked on siius @5 deg or on 7deg east.
here in SW gb hotbird is strong.on 70cm dish i have just been able to get13,16,19 deg using three lnbs and four way switching,i managed to buy some cheap lnbs only 5cm diameter.centre one set on 16 deg 19 deg is set a little higher one side 13 is set alittle lower on the other.prior to finding these lnbs it was impossible to get them close enough together.i had to use 2 dishes.
i also get 30 deg west on 60 cm dish.28deg east on 45cm.it is possible to use another 45 cm dish to get the stronger signals from 39 or 42 deg.it is also possible to use side lobs on a 45 cm set on sly ,to get 39 or 42 stronger signals, weather permitting.
if you just want 5+7 and hotbird set up your dish on 5deg,or 7 deg if youprefer.use side lob for 13 deg.
if you want only stronger signals from 5 and 7 use lnb with widest diametr that you have and set up at 6 deg you will recieve 5+7.cheers

Thanks for all the replies....not bad weather today so took a trip up the ladder with a spare lnb I had kicking around.
Mounted it at an equal distance from the main lnb as the astra lnb and it pulled in Europe beam A no problem from 7E,not a sniff of beam B though.
Anyway peaked the signal by moving the lnb a little further away and dropped it down a touch, bodged it with a few bits lying around the garage, and beam B is coming in fine!Guess it may suffer in bad weather though BER is very low at the moment so thats promising.
Getting BFBS and most of Digiturk so very pleased.

Anyone know if Fox on this sat shows the football on saturdays?I believe theres 2 versions of Fox Turkey and only one of them shows the footie.Would be a real bonus if I was getting the right one.

Fox Turkey on & east shows the football but is encrypted in Cryptoworks.
Fox Turkey on Turksat 2a 42 east 12022 v SR 05380 fec 5/6 is FTA for football if your location can receive it.
You would probably need a 1m dish

Chuffed to be getting this channel (footie was on this afternoon-Chelsea v Portsmouth).I support Middlesbrough and have heard they are showing all our games due to our recent signing of the Turkish player Tuncay.
Decodings not a problem  just need to get a new twin lnb now so I can feed my other receiver.
