"F Socket to TV Coax Plug Adaptor" is wot you need from either b&q, maplins, homebase or ebay about a quid each just connect the cable coax to it then plug it into the antenne socket on back of the dbox.
you wont pick up any channels if the feed is not connected. which area are you in ? |

right i see..........
cable may still be live if not the time on the box will say 01:00 when you turn it on, if it's live the time will be correct, no they cant tell if your receiving owt there is no talk back on dbox's, if your not connected either a broadband or tv package will give you wot you need just put a splitter in to feed both, it's rare for them to turn ppl off, only when they need the feed or they do an audit which is very rare rough guide off the top of my napper below to get your channels via a scan PRESS DBOX BUTTON ON REMOTE- SCROLL DOWN TO SERVICE MENU- PRESS OK ON REMOTE- SCROLL DOWN TO SERVICE SCAN, PRESS OK- SET THE PAGE UP USING REMOTE TO LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THIS Back Save settings Scan for services - TV & Radio Bouquet - update existing Cable provider - cable uk sym 6887 Fast scan - off Manual scan - off Frequency Symbol rate Fec - ½ Polarization - H Start scan WHEN ALL PAGE IS SAME SCROLL DOWN TO START SCAN AND PRESS OK ON REMOTE DON’T TOUCH ANY BUTTONS WHILE SCANNING SCAN MAY TAKE UP TO 90mins good luck mate ps if no channels found change cable provider to sym 6952 and re scan |

You're best leaving the bouquets as keep existing, that way any new channels go into the andre or other bouquet and everything else stays the same.
