Hopefully one can recommend a good file recovery software for Mac. My friend has lost an entire folder of important documents and she can't retrieve them. Too bad she wasn't able to back it up in her flash drive.

Ouch - will possibly need to know myself, if I end up getting a Mac. How she lose them??

I don't recall her exact words, but she was transferring folders while organizing her documents, I think incorporating old files in a previous computer and then deleting some that are unnecessary. In all the clutter, she must have clicked a button and suddenly the folder is not there. She was not too sure what happened. Come to think of it, I, a PC user, don't even have a file recovery software!

Ouch - yes, I looked into file recovery for Windows a while back, but my impression is that you'd probably have to invest quite a bit to do so.

thats why its best to use ur time machine, anything goes missing you can just go back in time!!!!

try diskwarrior that might be able to recover some files

If you have lost or deleted files on Mac OS, you need to use advanced Mac file recovery software in order to retrieve it. Mac file recovery after format is possible with the help of Remo Recover (Mac) - Basic Edition software. Just download the free version of the software and check for the recovery results,
