Why i like the patched sat box option is, after the small outlay at the beginning, it costs very little. At the moment there is lots of free football, and all you have to do to get it is update software now and again. Things change at times and you can loose football or movies from one provider, but usually get it it from another, or another satellite. Its a case of one door shuts and another opens.
I have sky plus with sports package at the moment as well, but i would be tempted to ditch it, only wife would give me a slow death by tongue ![]() How i got into this in the first place was getting satellite into a caravan i once owned. Really you have nothing to loose by giving it a go, its cheap and fun.

I think for football, there seems to be much more choice on Satellite rather than cable, also for movies too at the moment.
I have the Eng-Fra match on for my son right now, I was not able to find it on cable, although I only have the XL package, it looks like its available on Sky sports on cable (a dodgy cable box would get it I presume) Also with satellite there is no monthly outlay. With a cable box you are connecting some dodgy receiver directly to Virgin's network, no thanks! |

that £300 installation cost sounds very expensive for one days work perhaps i dont understand how complex it is. i thought £150 to 200 would be tops for a motorised system that works out £180 for the kit and £300 installation
