Sagem Dbox Imaging
Can someone confirm to me about reimaging a DBox2. Does the box have to connected to the cable outlet when the imaging is done, and exactly what does it need to be connected to with regard to the PC. I have tried everthing (read the manuals) but still can't get a connection.
I use NTL Broadband for my Internet on a Windows XP Home Edition Computer. Do I need to change the Network settings on both bits of equipment and do they have to be specific addresses. I have followed the guidlinesregarding 192.168.0.101 IP address but no good. I am trying to use Image Flasing Assistant but I keep getting error messages which I can'r read because they are in German. ANYONE PLEASE HELP! |

There is a multi-language version of the latest IFA on the creaters website - http://www.dboxservice-hallenberg.de/freedownloads.php
You need to have run the XP mediasensing patch which is in the downloads section. The dbox IP isn't important for IFA, you need to manually set the IP address on your PC to within the 192.168.*.* range - 192.168.2.101 is usually good. The box does NOT need to be connected to the cable outlet but you do need a crossover ethernet cable if connecting direct to the PC and it works easier with a null modem cable connected too. This is a good tutoral - http://www.tech-tronix.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=92 Let us know how you get on ![]() |

I finally managed to flash the image which appears to have worked bu when I now scan for channel on the TV It's only find a very small number.
Does the Image flashed make a difference to what I can pick up? or is there something else I need to do? |

Have you used the setmylocation feature in the blue button menu?
With fast scan and sectionsd scan on do a service scan then browse around the channels, after a while do a reboot and see if it finds any more. |
