Detection
I am new to techtronix so a quick hello to everyone!!
Can service providers detect you are useing a eurovox/dbox if so how? I am considering buying one but am a bit apprehensive as to whether they are detectable or not? Anyone help?:ermm: |

The dbox does not put out any signal on the line so can't be detected remotely. It could possibly be detected by looking through your window or if you talk about it and are overheard!

the boxes supplied by cable companies give out a signal called talkback, third party boxes are not the property of cable companies so they do not have this talkkback feature enabled

If you have a subscribed box you must keep it connected to the feed, it regularly communicates back to the cableco and they would soon know something was going on if it went quiet for a prolonged period.
