Sorry only just saw your post.. been hectic as usual for me..

What do you mean by.. 'I tried to use the v-plug but it couldnt get through to the intended site to get the keys' ?

I post the keys every day and all you need to do is copy/paste them into the Plugins folder of your DVB-S viewer

[For example.. download and install DVBDream from the forum (I will post you a guide on how to do this and link to it later)
Once DVBDream is setup then all you need to do is download the latest keys from the forum and copy them to the Plugins folder..
V_plug will then do the rest]

Which DVB-S card do you have?

Ok.. to try the easiest way first..

Follow these instructions in order..

1/ Delete ALL the contents of the Plugins folder of ProgDVB
2/ Download and install v_plug 2.1.1.0 (It's on the forum) to the Plugins folder
3/ Add the files i have attached below to the Plugins folder..

On Hotbird 13E select France 5 10.873 V 27500(SR) and wait.. In a short time (<30 seconds) it should update and clear and then you can watch all tps channels

Let me know how you get on...

PS> DVBDream is far more stable than ProgDVB and easy to use..

Hmm.. ok..

First can you make sure for definite that your dish is perfectly aligned to the satellite and that all F connectors to the coax's from LNB onwards are sound.. and re-make them if need be..
If you have another receiver then please connect it to check you get a good signal/quality enough to watch channels.. as you say you are in Saudi.. so i wonder which satellite you are trying to view

If the dish is aligned to the satellite with the signal peaked to the best you can get it then i think it may be a software problem.. and would suggest from my own experience that you try my suggestion before you send off your card..
There is little chance you will find a repairer anyway these days as it's a 'throwaway' age we live in now..
Electronics is my game and we charge plenty.. so a repair isn't viable unless the equipment is very expensive or otherwise irreplaceable..
Besides.. you have a signal so i think your card is ok..

My suggestion is this..

Uninstall Progdvb completely.. and delete its folder from the C drive.. so no trace is left.. as it's the most unstable viewer i ever used!..
Reboot the Pc and install DVBDream which is here:-

http://www.satmoz.com/forum/dvbdream...2.html?t=30092

Follow the setup guide for Dream which i have uploaded here:-

http://www.satmoz.com/forum/dvbdream...234#post145234

Leave v_plug for now.. and just see if you can watch FTA (Free To Air) channels..

Then we will get the latest v_plug sorted etc..

..so keep me informed

Actually I have a Skystar2 USB but its driver requires XP SP2 which I didnt install.
Sorry late reply but had a bit of eye trouble after metal embedded itself in my cornea.. which meant a minor operation yesterday.. so still can't see well and typing the posts is taking me ages to correct typing errors!..

Did you use the original software cd to install the usb versions as they need the usb data cable setup before they are recognised.. and also you need to use drivercleaner.exe to remove old drivers before installing new ones..
You also need to make sure the Windows Plug & Play services are set to Auto

[Start] [Run] type Services.msc [Enter] and make sure the services for Plug & Play and Universal Plug & Play are Automatic
If either is off then right click.. select Properties and then change to Automatic and click Start Service..
Then disconnect.. then reconnect the USB lead..

I just advised this on another site to someone that had an unrecognised USB sat box and after they did this it was found..

Worth a try?

Skystar USB is supported by all o/s from 98SE onwards as the attached jpg shows..

There is a USB fix for SP1 here.. may be worth a look..

Code:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=822603
Failing that at least we tried..

Sent you a Pm too..

Thanks - my eye is a lot better today.. a little blurry but not so sore now..
I can't cover my eye because i was shot in my left eye some time ago and have little vision in it.. so with a patch on my right eye i would need a guide dog.. lol

Anyway..

Sorry if i misunderstood the problem.. yesterday was difficult to read with any depth of understanding

I will try to locate an early BDA driver for you..
The Nova can actually use the same driver..
