Default Windows Media Player 11... Anyone?

Before it was only available for Vista, but XP SP2 systems can now install the Beta version of Windows Media Player 11. I am excited about the new streamlined look and the new skins that will come with it. There is also something called URGE, probably an mp3 subscription like iTunes.

Ouch - wouldn't like to try the beta version. Seems the existing XP edition crashes enough on me as it is!

Yeah it does for me too, so I am not very trusting of it.

I tend not to download this stuff until it has been out for awhile. It seems like when something first comes out they always find some kind of bug. I have enough trouble at times with my computer.

I agree; I've had bad experiences with beta in the past. I usually hold off on updating until its out of beta phase, and a bit after the non-beta version is released, just in case there are a few bugs left.

Yeah its always best to get the newest available after a while of it being out to buy!
This way other people will find the glitches and hopefully they will fix it in time for your purchase!

I am using media player 11.
Its quite good. Buttons are better than earlier.
WMP 10 was not so bad also.

At least if it beats Real Player it'll be worth downloading, otherwise it's better to stick with Real Player since there are videos that don't recognize Windows Media Player.

That's unsafe beta software on the block and it's a shareware, but it might be better than Windows Player.
