Diablo Cam 2.2 > 2.3

i will not be getting the 2.3 diablo,as i have 2.2 already ,as many thousands also have,..and its nothing but a security upgrade,..and could be put on 2.2,.. but wheres the profit in that,...if we all stand together we could beat this con,...[as suggested by a poster on another forum] [ voodoo chile],..i agree that we should email duolabs and see what happens? iv been told to avoid sites promising 2.2 to 2.3 upgrades for 25euro,..but i would pay a nominal fee for upgrade ,.my cam is 1 year old,..but i will not pay for the basically same cam twice,...its a blatent ripoff, they are preying on channel hungry saters, but dont give in,..they will change there tune when they find themselvs with thousands of unsold cams,same goes for shops [retailers]so they should support the diablo boycott aswell,..dobrocop.

first let me say there are members on other forums who
have sent lots messages to duolabs, i hope duolabs see sense
before they loose there loyal costomers and at least offer a
upgrade/part ex etc: for a reasonable fee again'st the v2.3 cam
as for dealers the one i deal with has replaced all the v2.2 cams
with extra cash to make up the price of the v2.3 that he has
sold in the last couple of weeks, and he will stand the cost of
these left on his hands if he cant get duolabs to take them back.
even though i cant get this deal iv'e had my v2.2 for months
i tells me he is worth dealing with. and i dont blame any dealer
who wont change these cams and loose money. if you were the dealer
would you ? when it's not there problem and it's not a faulty cam

i already someone telling us to upgrade the 2.2 to the 2.3 and it made me think becaus as some posted that the 2.3 had the same specifications as the 2.2 ,i posted about the 2.3 cam because i trusted the dealer who told me that the 2.2 was no longer made when i asked to purchase another 2.2 and he recmended the purchase of the 2.3 telling me that was not only faster but that it also had more ram so i thought it was a good idea to let the other guys know what was going on sorry for any inconvience that i might have caused i now see why we should not trust eveybody regards rusty london:angry_smile:

Do you remember in the case of trex supermodule? When nagra2 files were released for Premiere you simply had to send your cam to your dealer for an upgrade.

i remember it well mate, i had mine upgraded from 4.5 to 4.6
just the difference from someone cared about there customers
you never know we could be supprised, i am willing to pay for
any upgrade or exchange, within reason

Hi there,
If, as it now seems to be the case, the hardware in the 2.2 and 2.3 is the same (contrary to what we were led to believe), would this be possible:
1) Someone with a 2.3 cam backs it up (obtaining, I believe, a .dbf file.).
2) They upload and share this file
3) Someone with a 2.2 cam reformats it and uploads the 2.3 .dbf to the 2.2 cam.
4) Would the 2.2 cam now become 2.3 cam? Would it work or would it be fried?
5) Any volunteers?
