Default bin files

Hi need help could someone tell me why I carn't extract the diablo bin files to a specified file name that I use. Each time i download a file and extract it, it never seems to appear where I send it. It's as though the file has a problem. I have no problem with underworld files or stealth files it's just the bin files that I cannot use which means the latest bin files that are running I carn't use and therefore carn't watch inctx etc.

regards

Andrew

Default bin files extraction

What do you use to extract the file I have found IZARC will extract the file to the same directory as you download to but winzip unzips it to a file called unzipped.
When you download any file you can change the file name before you save it.
Hope this is of help to you.

Default bin files

Hi signman I use either alzip and winzip and even winrar but this does not always work. If u double click the file it sometimes comes up with wrong file format or damaged file.

Regards

Default bin files

Hi ajp
Try and get IZARC and give it a go as this will extract many more files of different type.
When you first set it up you can select which type it will extract.
I have got rid of the others ie winzip etc.
As to the files been corrupt this could be the file or most likely that the extraction software will not recognize this type of file as this is not unknown I have had this problem myself.
Hope this will help

Default bin files

I have no problem with either WinRar or WinZip extracting files to where I specify except that sometimes a path is already specified in the file and I end up with a new folder in my specified location with my extracted file in it. I just move/copy the file to where I want it and delete the unwanted folder. After you have down loaded the .zip or .rar when you click on them the relevant utility should open. With WinZip hover your cursor over the file you wish to extract to highlight it then click "extract". You should get an "Extract to where" dialog which contains a "Browse" button. Click on this and browse your HD to your required location and click "Extract". The next time you use WinZip to extract this type of file this location will be in the "Extract to where" dialog or will be in a drop down list presentad to you. Don't double click the files! File corrupted can usually be sorted by downloading the .zip or .rar again!

Strange! There shouldn't be any such problem with WinRar.
