Default Clarke-Tech HD 5000C - Error list

My error list I send last week don’t appears on forum so I try again.

Ver. 135 /138p/143p
Error when using Conax Card “Canal Digital” inside card reader and CAM module inside CI slot.

If using “Dragon/Trex CAM” inside Clarke, its take minimum 40sec to de-scramble channels and sometimes never.

If using “Diablo CAM” inside Clarke, its work, but not with channels moved to THOR 5.
It is possible to de-scramble these channels when turning receiver ON but it’s not possible to zapping between these channels later. The HD channels on old frequencies work without problems with Diablo.

Note: Telenor are started moving HD channels from THOR 2 to THOR 5 and this have influence on de-scrambling. Maybe because they increase bit ratio ?

Ver. 135 /138p/143p
Error "no access" message from receiver when conax card inside card reader.
If you watching de-scrambled channels with “CAM+ original card” or patched software then you get “no access” message on picture if this channels are also scrambled in Conax.

Ver. 135 /138p
Error. No subtitle on several channels from 1 West satellite.
1 west satellite/ Discovery HD,Nat Geo HD,History HD,Voom HD,Silver HD

Ver. 143p
Error when recording HD channels
The subtitles from several HD channels on 1 west are not recorded

DVB-T
Sensitivity of Terrestrial tuner is not god. The channels I can pickup with my Philips TV tuner are not received by Clarke-Tech.

Error during playback from USB hard drive
File Recorded from discovery HD on 1West.
After using fast forward, the sound sometimes disappear when playback at normal speed.

Observed on FW: 138p or 143p one time.
Error, hacking movement on picture when looking tennis, looks like to few pictures pr. sec.
It helps to switch receiver off and on again.

Ver.143p
Error when using hard drive 500Giga

Work with 4giga USB stick and Samsung camera NV3

Ver.138p
Error when using hard drive.
Work with 4giga USB stick and Samsung camera NV3

Default Clarke-Tech HD 5000C - Error list

It's a long list...

I don't hang about on the Nordic channels for too long but given what you say about HD may be I should, but that is with a proper Conax card I think. Conax card = HD ?.

I don't use the DVB-T bit myself since I don't think the picture is as good as of my Pace PVR DVB-T so I separate DVB-T stuff to that and the rest that I need to record or watch goes to the CT.

I did see a hacking effect the other day on the news ticker as you get on news channels, so that is some stobing sampling thing I think which isn't present least on DVB-T. Think that was on Sky News or BBC News, the ticker at the bottom.

1.43 is crap as far as I'm concerned since it doesn't support large drives which take a time to spin up, that's my interpretation of what is going on at boot up of the box. It needs to wait around until the USB has messaged back, it doesn't. That's why it works with small drives and USB sticks. That's my diagnosis of the issue. But I don't get it too often. Dropping a marker, stopping play and restarting it fixes it.

Other than that I don't have any problems with it except with 1.35 and above you can't record radio since the p guys dropped this functionality. A pity, hope they put it back. They took a fairly old version of the official software and worked from that, rather than the one which CT fixed for radio, circa 1.26 as I recall.

Conax information is now useful to me Krakow, I take it that you use a Conax cam, least I can't get 1.38p or 1.43p to work with the boxes own card slot with M2 Plus but it does on a TRex albeit not HD. Have I missed a trick in using the boxes own slot. Saving the planet I don't want to buy a cam unless I have too.
