Being a persistent sod as I am I asked this question about Diablo Underworld and nobody relied !.

I'll let you know about my thoughts on M2-Plus card and software in due time, but if you see one being thrown out of a window you'll know where it came from.

Its true, the diablo cant deal with symbol rates at 30,000SR, all the HD stuff on thor is moving to that SR.

M2+ and a conax cam works ok with HD.

Thanks for that. I suppose the question is whether T-Rex and M2+ work together on this S/R, anybody. Did Compass have it working in just a Conax cam....

I read Tony's other posts from other boards non the subject today. V. useful.

It's not going to work on a Trex at 30,000 S/R which I think is my problem. Not too sure about the CT5000 own slot, no M2 plus channels with that, may need to frig with different p versions.

Can you recommend Conax cams that are fine by name please or anyone with this S/R rate.

I know this isn't stricky Diablo but it does sort this out.

It does seem to me that if the future is in HD and people are interested in the HD channels at 1'W, making the S/R out of reach of CAMs that aren't Conax full spec is one movement by Telenor to floor non Conax card access via patched CAMs. May be Telenor is just ahead of the curve.

As for the boxes then it's whether the internal mult cam can handle this S/R. Clearly it isn't straight forward to assume that a patched CAM will give you HD with the Telenor preferred S/R for HD now, 30,000. As for the Diablo whether it's running Underworld 1.29 or any M2 Plus card in any hobbyist CAM it's not going to work on HD. In the boxes card reader it may work from my reading this weekend.

Actually I think there might be two different thing going on here:

a. if we work on the basis that the M2 Plus must be paired with a conax cam to get HD. At 1'w 11.421 H is still broadcast at S/R 25000 yet doesn't work on a TRex, does this one work on the Underworld 1.29 ?. I suspect so sinnce al the reports of failure are when it switched to 30000 S/R.

b. then we have the issue of the Diablo not coping with S/R 30000.

Unless something else is going on.
So they are something different.... I got to get a Conax cam.

I think that maybe I`m going to wait a little while and hope that they can fix this cam working.It always take a little time to fix those bugs.I`ts nice to live in hope.

People seem to be quite adamant that no hobbyist cams run with that S/R which means that you don't get HD. But breaking that down it means that the Diablo won't give you HD on those channels but then for the card I mentioned I'm told that you need a proper Con$x cam [Compass for one has been told this]. I should have one tomorrow so I'll be able to let you know. I'll post that up over on the M2 Plus thread.

It's all rather confusing since what gets posted up applies to the Diablo but not the M2 Plus which needs another solution. Failing that I will be grinding me teeth in that internet "facts" aren't alway correct. Although I do recall something about Con$x and cams in the distant past.

As far as the Diablo is concerned the impression said by many is technically it can't be done because of the S/R figure and if that's the case no software is going to help. I feel I've got partial information mind you. A number of boxes have issues with high S/R figures as well, not just the decoding bit.
